Dear Sirs,

The mission of PIMEC Social Action Foundation is to raise the awareness of the network of small and medium-sized enterprises and self-employed workers on the need to include social aspects as a competitive factor within their business dynamic, from a point of view of effort to be shared with the different civic and economic interests, and promoting a corporate culture which is concerned with the environment.

Our objectives are to encourage and support small and medium-sized enterprises and self-employed workers during the process of instigating measures which will allow them to improve their green credentials, and to provide tools, programmes and actions which will help them to become socially responsible enterprises, thus bringing the social and corporate sectors closer together, creating a link to their mutual benefit and for the common good.

Accordingly, we want to provide creative tools, projects and proposals, marked by their flexibility and openness, to provide the means for new economic and social challenges giving us a wider view of our entrepreneurial responsibilities in the global environment.

We must be aware that from the corporate network, we hold a privileged position in society as the driving force for change. As our slogan says, we want to advance towards a new way of creating and operating our enterprises. We can ensure this change has a positive outcome, not only achieving more competitiveness, but also creating a better society for us and future generations.

Business Values Committee
It is the advisory body that works as the organisation’s ethical committee. Beyond the programs and projects which we provide for the entrepreneurs to promote a new business culture aimed at including social value within management, we take part in acts, conferences and seminars held for entrepreneurs. To become a socially responsible enterprise, we not only need to know where we are going, but we need to be aware of the journey we have to travel to reach this point. This journey will be different for each case, depending on the size of the enterprise, the activity sector to which it belongs and its market position, in short, depending on its idiosyncrasy and, of course, depending on the economic situation in general.
