Metal Pimec

In November 2004, with the firm intention of bringing together the concerns and needs of the enterprises within the metal sector and provide specific answers to the specific problems of an industry which holds a traditional place in the Catalonian corporate network, we created the PIMEC Metal division.

Since then, under the PIMEC umbrella as the most representative corporate organisation in Catalonia and as a valid spokesman recognised by the government, we have worked daily towards this sector being consolidated as a debate forum and point of reference for creating synergies, from where we come together and pass on the sector’s pulse.

There is still much work to do, but our commitment is to continue working and fighting for the metal sector to restore it to its former leading position. Another of our daily tasks is for our enterprises to become more competitive, and as viable as possible.

The PIMEC Metal division has four main objectives.

Firstly, to maintain the soundness that already exists in this sector and to use it as a departure point from where we can address the concerns of our entrepreneurs and find the best all-round solutions.

Secondly, to continue working to improve our institutional task, and to build close relationships with the different councils, departments and institutions.

Thirdly, to monitor any future legislation that may affect our small and medium-sized enterprises, ensuring that they are as coherent as possible, that the administrative bodies listen to us, that they consider our proposals, and thus, we are able to obtain more representation.

Lastly, to make the division functionally more effective so that all members and future members can see their interests represented and their needs reflected.
