The territorial consolidation and the national and European activities together reinforce the leadership of PIMEC Comercio.

This achievement is due to the hard work and dedication of people who are behind each of these activities and fight for a common cause, at a management level as well as an institutional level.

Our strength lies in the people in which we believe and that allow us, thanks to their support, to surmount any challenge we face. It is evident that with this workforce, we will never become disheartened or complacent.

We are aware that day-to-day we need to be more conscious of the responsibility we have to our collective. All our future objectives must be achieved to improve the commercial sector in Catalonia and thus benefit our members within this sector.

This is our commitment, and I assure you we will achieve it.

PIMEC Comercio works to uphold and defend the interests of the traders of Catalonia, especially the micro and small-sized trade enterprises, which represent an essential part of the economic network of our country. We do this is because we are aware of the different realities and worries of the Catalonian traders.

A constant task for PIMEC Comercio is the search for methods which enable us to bring our actions closer to the requirements of our member associations, federations and trade unions involved in commerce throughout Catalonia.

All of this has a unique objective. To be able to work closely with the specific problems and needs of the more than 40,000 associated traders, to make their demands our own and to come together, from a point of political and economic independence, under one umbrella.  To defend small enterprises against adverse legislation, to work to serve our Catalonian trade model, to fight to move this sector forward and anticipate the consumer’s needs, aiming to maintain a balance between commercial formats to ensure our survival and preserve the economic, social, cultural and civic task that commerce has had and continues to have within our region.
