Host Barcelona

After the last PIMEC elections, in March 2007, the president of our PIMEC employer’s organisation, Josep González, informed of the creation of a new body to coordinate regional offices within Barcelona province and I have been named president of this body. The task of coordinating the regional offices within the province is an honour for me, as both the presidents and the members of the regional executive committees of the province are genuine professionals that make this task especially pleasant.

The concerns of the territories are gathered by the executive committees and their presidents as representatives of the different sectors and are passed on to me within the framework of the regional presidents’ meetings. I am then responsible for presenting these concerns to the PIMEC Executive Committee, so the territory has a common link with the whole of Catalonia.

As an entrepreneur myself, I want to encourage all those who one day decided to create a family-run business, which has slowly grown and is now part of this network which employs 80% of the workers in Catalonia. I also encourage them to contact the representatives of their region and inform them of all their needs and problems, assuring them that they will be listened to and presented before the organisations in which we are present throughout their territory, Catalonia and Europe.
