PIMEC, in-line with our enterprises, is committed to online presence through this website, which has been created to link all our entrepreneurs and provide them with the tools, information and solutions they need.

Nowadays, nobody questions the fact that information systems, technologies and digital communication are a reality and a work tool which is use daily by our enterprises, which are committed to technological advances. Due to this, our body has, from day one, been committed to presenting itself as a pioneer in adapting to all these solutions.

PIMEC is the employers’ organisation for the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises of Catalonia. These enterprises represent the vast majority of our corporate network and also provide wealth and a major number of jobs.

In Tarragona province, it is no different. Our entrepreneurs are committed and very aware of the importance of having an employers’ organisation like PIMEC. PIMEC reflects this importance by having three regional offices as well as the provincial head office. More are expected to open very soon.

It is an honour for me to head the provincial organisation of Tarragona, defending our business interests and servicing the enterprises, trade unions and association within our region, all of which are under the PIMEC umbrella and seek the common good of our economic and social network.

PIMEC's provincial headquarters in Tarragona has two basic objectives: one is to improve the institutional positioning and PIMEC's recognition as the most representative social agent and the other is to achieve a closer relationship with our members.

With regard to the first of these challenges, our desire is to position our employers' organisation as a first point of contact in the corporate network of the Tarragona region, especially for the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. This proposal deserves a significant effort put into relationships and activities, but, above all, in relation to reliability, image and independence when it comes to negotiations with the government and public offices, defending the interest of our enterprises, being present at all the debate and discussion committees within the region.

The second objective has two aspects. The first of these seeks to provide more regional offices within the territories thus bringing our help and assistance closer to our members. The second aspect aims to improve the services we offer the enterprises and to promote training as an essential tool to improve competitiveness and the development of enterprises within the territory.
